New Dishwasher

Is 9 or 10 the magic number of years when you need to start replacing appliances?  Our home was built in 2006 and so far, we've had to replace the sump pump, garbage disposal, and now the dishwasher in the last year.  I'm sure the more expensive appliances won't be too far behind.  Ahh, home ownership.  In an effort to save a $150 installation fee, I convinced Brian he could replace the dishwasher himself.  One too many swear words later, including the need to go and buy a power cord (that for some reason wasn't included...yes, we are getting reimbursed for it) and a small pipe fixture, it's now installed and up and running!
