The cake was a Strawberry Lemonade cake that I found a recipe for online. I got the edible butterflies on Amazon. They are made by Sugar Robot.
Here is what the inside looked like. It was very delicious!
We spent a little time outside until everyone arrived. Hailey runs the "imaginary" bases after her near homerun hit.
Cousins Natalie and Emily arrive!
Present time!
Opening her present from Aunt Stephanie, Uncle David, and the twins.
Cousin Laura watches on.
Laura explains the gift that she, Aunt Stacy, and Uncle Doug got her.
She was so excited to get this Doctor Kit from Grammy and Poppy.
Hailey shows off a glow-in-the-dark cross from Great Uncle Garry and Great Aunt Wanda. The first couple bracelets on her arm are also from them.
Wearing a butterfly clip from Grandma and Grandpa, although, it's not meant for wearing in your hair. :-)
Grandma and Grandpa also got her a butterfly bush! Now she'll have all the butterflies she wants!
A new cowgirl hat from Mommy, Daddy, and Clara.
Everyone watching the present opening.
Time for cake! A quick family picture before lighting the candles.
Clara with Great Uncle Garry and Great Aunt Wanda.
My brother and sister-in-law had given us this pinata a couple years ago and we kept forgetting to use it up until now! We threw the candy away, but there was some Playdoh that was still useable.
Grandma, Clara, Hailey, and Brian's cousin, Joel, make different shapes out of the Playdoh.
We took a walk over to the park after the birthday festivities were over. Sitting in the shade in the gazebo.
Daddy, you might be a little too big for the swings.
Our almost 6 year old!
Look! I can lean back in the swing like Hailey does!
Let's hope Clara doesn't learn this trick yet!
Coming back from the park!
Here, Uncle Garry, smell this dandelion!
