Clara's 2nd Birthday

Our families helped us celebrate Clara's 2nd birthday on Sunday (her actual birthday isn't until Thursday, though)!  It was a great day for a party!  The weather was perfect...sunny and 70 degrees.  It was a full day with church in the morning and a retirement party for my dad in the evening.  Lots of fun family time!

I found this cake idea on Pinterest. Brian helped me with making the faces. I used rolled buttercream icing for all the face pieces. We used a rice krispie treat to mold Big Bird's nose.  The cake flavor was butter pecan.

This is what each face looked like.

A little candy corn/chocolate chips/peanuts mix and some popcorn to snack on, and we were ready to go!

The Birthday Girl!

Excited to open her presents!

She'll be the cutest Minnie Mouse this winter!

She was so animated when opening each gift. She'd say "Oooh" and her eyebrows would go up.

I had to laugh every time she used her leg to hold a present up while she opened it.

Brian's parents got her this wooden toddler bed we had found at a store when visiting them a couple weeks ago.

Her cousins, Natalie and Emily, helped her try out her new bed and comforter set (from my parents).

Clara with her sister and cousins!

Getting ready to blow out the candles on her cake.

All ready to sleep in her new bed!
