We were on the go this weekend! Hailey's soccer team won another game 4-2 on Saturday morning. After the game and some lunch, we went to our town's Art Crawl where Hailey's artwork was displayed in a store front. Several kids get picked in each class to have their art displayed, so Hailey was excited she was one of them this year! My parents met us downtown to see the artwork and then we grabbed some ice cream at Dairy Queen with them. After reading about our town's Sawmill replica in the local paper (the Sawmill was actually the first official business here back in 1837), we decided to drive over and take a look. Little did we know the Duck Race was about to start there. They dump a bunch of rubber ducks into the creek and which ever duck makes it to the finish line first is the $500 winner. All proceeds from the race go to the school district to help fund new technology for the classrooms. Our ducks didn't win, but it was still fun to watch! After that, we stopped at the grocery store before heading back home to work on the yard (mowing, mulching, weeding). Sunday morning brought handmade presents and flowers for me for Mother's Day (love these!) and then church. Clara's soccer practice was next and during their little practice game, she scored a goal! She was super excited! The first shot at a goal missed and the coaches laughed because she said, "Stupid ball." After practice, we drove over to my parents' house to celebrate Mother's Day with my family. We also planted the pumpkins, cantaloupe, and two rows of corn in the garden while we were there. When we got back home, I planted potatoes and Brian finished the last of the yard work. We were all exhausted when we went to bed! It was a fun weekend, though!

Her drawing. A big wave next to a mountain.
Our niece, Laura, was also picked to display her artwork. This is her drawing.
Enjoying some ice cream. As you can tell, Poppy was being sneaky and stealing some of Clara's ice cream.
