4-H: Cat Judging

Tonight was the Small Pet Show (judging) and Hailey's first project to be judged as a regular 4-Her!  She showed Fezziwig in two categories...Cat Care and Cat Showmanship.  She got a Blue ribbon for both!  She did a great job!  It took quite a while for the judging to be done as there were 14 cats being shown for both categories and each took at least 5 minutes.

She started with the Showmanship judges.

Here she has to demonstrate her knowledge of several categories...flea prevention, how to know when your cat is sick, grooming, how much to feed your cat, etc.

Bringing him back to his cage to wait for Cat Care judging.

A picture with participants from our club.  Small pets also included reptiles, cavies (i.e. hamsters), and other miscellaneous small pets (i.e. turtles, hedgehogs).

This was Cat Care judging.

The judge looks over the cat and ask questions about how Hailey's been taking care of Fezzi.

"This judging is hard work!"

So excited to receive a Blue ribbon in both categories!  This means she did a great job and met all the requirements.  Fezzi was ready to go home. :-)
