We got these bumper boats at Sam's Club. They are run by batteries and have a propeller that moves them through the water. The girls LOVED them! We adults wished they made them in our size, too!
They also shot out water and Clara learned that if you tilted it back, it would shoot the water out higher.
So much fun!
Here's a video of the bumper boats.
Swimming, jumping off the pier into the water, splashing...lots of water fun!
Taking a break with Grammy.
The next door neighbors have a couple boys. The oldest one, Micah (on the right), is Hailey's age and he and his friend (on the left) quickly became Hailey's best friends when they found out she had the bumper boats.
Brian and I took the canoe out for a quick ride.
Brian and the girls did lots of fishing!
Touching the fish.
Watching the bobber.
Looking for some fish. They were fishing from a school of Bluegill.
Clara caught one! With yes, a little help.
Hailey caught this one on her own!
Fishing after sunset on Monday evening. The lake was so calm.
We saw lots of wildlife. No bears or moose this time, but I'm still holding out hope I'll see one in the future!
Brian took this picture of a family of loons at 6:30 in the morning with his phone on his way out to fish. I wish I had gone with him with my regular camera!
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
This is the female Grosbeak (on left) feeding her baby (on right).
Hummingbird
It was neat seeing the hummingbirds in a tree, too!
Chickadee
Purple finch
Pileated Woodpecker
Song Sparrow
Red Squirrel
Clara's first time on a tube and she loved it!
She's a dare-devil for sure!
Hailey was more hesitant. This was before the boat started moving. :-)
Maybe this is fun!
More confident!
Daddy's turn! He's done this once or twice before.
My first time on a tube.
We picked some wildflowers.
Getting a good bouquet going!
We put them in a vase when we got back. So pretty!
Having fun outside!
We roasted marshmallows one night in the firepit.
We took the girls for a pony ride. Clara said, "I want that horse." :-) His name was Yogi.
Hailey's pony was named Ray.
We played some ski-ball!
And we ate some yummy ice cream! The girls were laughing at having blue tongues.
