I was really looking forward to a reunion event on Saturday that I had been coordinating for the past year. In high school, I was in an auditioned choral group called Rock Ensemble. Because of the many practices and performances, we spent quite a bit of time with each other and developed great friendships. Thanks to Facebook, we've maintained contact but hadn't gotten together in person for 17 years! Not everyone in the group could make it, but we still had a pretty good turnout. The reunion was held at Tyler State Park in Newtown...just down the street from the high school. It was a hot day...86 degrees and humid! We had a great time just chatting and watching our kids play, though. We attempted to sing a favorite, "For The Longest Time" (by Billy Joel), but couldn't remember the words as we sang it! :-) Oh well, we had fun, and that's what mattered! I wish we were able to sing more, but keeping track of little kids was more important. We'll just have to do another reunion when the kids are older! Prior to arriving at the park, Brian, Hailey, Clara, and I stopped at a party supply store called Party Fair (my former place of employment on school breaks) to get balloons for the reunion. I was surprised to see that it was still in the same location and looked the same! After the reunion and some dinner, we got some ice cream at Goodnoe's. Goodnoe's used to be a restaurant and ice cream shop but was torn down sometime after my family left Newtown. The only thing left now is the ice cream shop, and it has moved to a different location. After Goodnoe's, we went back to Tyler State Park to walk around a bit.

We congregated under a picnic pavilion next to a canoe rental building.
Catching up
Hailey must have been telling something interesting!
Clara and Landon enjoying some fresh watermelon!
L to R: Me, Lauren, Jon (aka Big Jon in high school), Meredith, Evan, Robin, Drew, Jen, Brian, Jodi, and Jurica.
With our spouses and kids! The only two people missing are Brian and Tatiana (Drew's wife) who were taking pictures.
Our attempt at singing "For The Longest Time" after 17 years! :-)
This is what it should really sound like. :-)
Admiring the youngest attendee, 3 week old, Timothy. Not quite sure how we ended up in a circle, though!
Enjoying more conversation.
Clara was not wanting to share the stroller with Landon. She kept giving him dirty looks. :-)
Eating ice cream at Goodnoe's.
A picture with the entire store in the background.
Crossing the bridge over Neshaminy Creek in the park.
Looking to the left on the bridge.
Looking to the right on the bridge. The scenery is so pretty.
Enjoying a nature trail.
