Getting Out

This past week has included lots of TV watching, which is so not my thing!  However, what else can you do when both your hands are tied feeding Clara or pumping?  I've watched quite a few kids shows and when the timing works out, I've been enjoying watching the "Friends" re-runs on TBS.  That was such a great show!

By the end of the week, I was getting stir crazy and wanting to get out of the house!  So, on Saturday, we piled into the car and spent much of the morning and early afternoon shopping.  Thankfully the weather was beautiful (65 and sunny), which made the walk to and from the car more pleasant.

Today, Brian got the yard mowed and much of the garden cleared out before he ran out of lawn bags.  We'll see if we can try to finish the rest tomorrow when he gets home from work (or if I get a chance during the day).

A couple Hailey funnies...

 - Hailey received a card from her Great Aunt Rowena with money inside as a "big sister" gift.  On the front of the card was a picture of a cute dog.  Brian was not home at the time she opened it, so when he did get home, she took him over to show him what she got.  She said, "Look, Daddy!  Aunt Rowena sent me 3 monies and a picture of her dog!"  I couldn't help laughing out loud, but hey, she didn't know that was just a "model" dog.

 - The recipe we were making yesterday called for kielbasa.  When Brian was cutting it up, Hailey was trying to take a piece to eat.  He said, "You can't eat that yet.  It needs to be cooked.  It's not summer sausage."  She said, "What is it then?  Fall sausage?"

Apple Crisp fresh out of the oven.  It was delicious, especially with some vanilla ice cream on top!

Hailey received a Playdoh bucket as a gift and she came up with this tea cup idea all on her own!
We took this picture for my aunt who sent these books in the mail for the girls.

Brian raked up lots of leaves in the backyard, so we tried a leaf picture with the girls.

Wide awake on Mommy's lap.

And then back asleep again!
