Thanksgiving - Lindsey's Family

We had an absolutely wonderful time at each family gathering for Thanksgiving!  On Thursday, we went to my parents' house.  We took our annual family picture before eating (less of a chance for messy faces).  We ate dinner at 12:30 and then played a round of Mad Gab (such a fun game!).  Guys against girls.  The funniest moment in the game was when the guys were trying to guess this phrase: "Ease Bag Kin These Had Dull".  The girls picked up on it right away and were laughing hysterically as my brother was trying to tell the guys to read it faster (he was the coach).  The girls were able to steal, because the guys still didn't get it before the timer went off!  It still makes me laugh as I type this!

This is our family prayer, except that we normally only say the first two sentences.  My mom found plates and napkins with the prayer on them this year!

It's already hard getting little kids to sit still and not goof off in pictures, so when the big kids aren't cooperating, it's even more of a challenge!

Annual family photo (L to R): Vince, Austin, Stephanie, David, Hailey, Mom, Laura, Dad, Stacy, Doug, Me, & Brian

Stephanie (near the end of her 2nd trimester) plays with her childhood toys...Polly Pockets.

My siblings' and my favorite book to read growing up at Christmas was "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore.  My parents would read this to all of us on Christmas Eve before Santa would come.  Hallmark had a recordable book of this poem, so my parents took turns reading/recording each page, so the girls could always have their grandparents reading this to them as well.

A delicious Thanksgiving meal.

After dinner, Hailey sat down with Aunt Austin to play with a Disney princess book.

By the way, if you were wondering what the phrase above reads, it is, "He's Back In The Saddle".
