Relaxing is Overrated

We had a very fun and BUSY weekend!  On Friday, I started some house cleaning in the morning.  Brian worked a half day from home in the afternoon so he could wait for the heating guy to service our heater for the winter.  While he was doing that, Hailey & I ran to Walmart, came back, took our cat to the vet, came back, left again to get Hailey her first "salon" haircut with my hair stylist, Kacie, came back, cooked dinner and then made a couple pints of applesauce.  On Saturday morning, we had a 9:30 appt. at Sears to get some family pictures done and a 10:00 appt. to get some pictures taken of Hailey & Laura.  My sister, Stacy & Laura came back to our house after that, made more applesauce and started food preparation for my mom's birthday celebration later that afternoon.  We headed over to my parents' house around 3pm, prepared dinner, opened presents, and then played the Wii.  We left to come home around 8 pm.  On Sunday morning, we went to church and then (with Stacy, Doug, & Laura) headed over to a place called "Stade Dairy Farm" to get some pumpkins and enjoy some Fall activities (even though the weather was far from being "Fall-like"...middle 80's).  After we got home, we made dinner and started on some laundry.  We are exhausted!!!

Top middle is what we started out with and bottom right was the result before the braids.  It doesn't seem like a lot was taken off, but it was at least 2 inches!

Celebrating my mom's birthday.  Notice that Hailey is intently watching Uncle Vince and Uncle David pick a lock in the bottom left picture...should I be worried about this? :-)  Also, I can't remember why Vince sat on Doug's lap, but it had us all laughing!

A day of fun at Stade's Dairy Farm.  We got to enjoy apple cider donuts as well, but I was disappointed that by the time we left, they were completely out of apple cider.

Petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin ride, and playing in corn (they did not want to get out of the corn!)

Hay ride to get pumpkins.  Any pumpkin that one person could lift and bring back with them was $5.00.
