The top of our driveway was settling badly in one corner. Whenever it would rain or snow would melt, we'd have a huge puddle of water or ice right up next to the house. I was afraid it was eventually going to cause foundation problems, so we put it on our to-do list for this year. A family in our neighborhood has a driveway repair/sealcoating business, so we called him over for a quote. He said that our best bet would be to use a company called Asphalt Restoration that uses an infrared technique. It makes the seam smooth instead of having a defined crack in the driveway. So they came out on Friday and were finished in about two and a half hours! Our neighbor is then going to send his crew out on Tuesday to do the sealcoating so there's not such a noticeable difference in the new versus old asphalt. I'm glad we can check this one off the list!

Before...you can see how much it settled from the wavy appearance. The problem area was all the way to the right by the tree. It really sloped down there.
After...much better!
A smooth drive right into the garage.
