Weaving with a Colonial Loom

Hailey chose a Colonial Loom as the toy/activity she wanted to buy from the Conner Prairie store a few weeks ago.  She finished her first project, despite me putting the yarn on the loom incorrectly (now we know the right way for the next time!), and we're thinking it can be used as a scarf for her princess dolls.  She really enjoyed doing it and bought some more yarn with her tooth fairy money to be able to make something else that's bigger!

Using the pick-up stick (weaver's sword) over and under, over and under, to create a space for the yarn to go through.

Now using the shuttle to pass the yarn through.

Then using the beater (comb) to push the yarn down tight to the rest of it below.

All finished!
