Vacation Bible School

This past week was VBS at our church.  It was a great week!!  I volunteered to teach the 2, 3, and 4 year olds this year and even though Clara wasn't two as of September 1st, she got to join my class anyway.  I loved this age group!  They made me smile every single day!  Their stories, their cuddles, their smiles, their laughs...I just wanted to squeeze them in a hug every day!  Teaching them about God's love for each of them (and all of us, too!) is such a heart-warming experience.  It just amazed me at how much they already knew and how quickly they absorbed what we learned during the week.

This was the first day with six kids...the next day we added two more!

They had fun building this "church" when we were learning about "building with God".

Painting crosses and bird houses during craft time.

Using clay to make pots or little ornaments.  Clara told the craft leader that "my mommy does this at home!" (rolling dough out). :-)

Singing time!

Decorating with stickers and coloring our class' cross for display in the Sanctuary on Sunday morning as you'll see below.

Heading to church for VBS day!

The class crosses displayed on Sunday morning.

Sorry for the shaky filming and super fast zooming actions!  As you can tell, Brian didn't get his degree in film-making, but hey, he tried! :-)  Also, my age group did not sing with them.  Just a little too young yet to learn and perform these songs!

Brian tried to move to the middle to get both Hailey, and her cousin, Laura in the video at the same time.  Hailey is in the salmon-colored shirt to the left behind the boy in the front row with a white shirt and tie on.  Laura is all the way to the right in the second row with a white shirt on.

A different angle again, but closer views of Hailey and Laura.
