Brian's parents came with us to help cut the tree down. Here Brian's mom and the girls make snowballs out of the little bit of snow to throw at Daddy and Grandpa.
Clara gets a ride on Grandma's shoulders. We walked the entire lot of trees looking for "the one".
We chose this one!
Clara takes a turn at sawing the trunk.
Hailey took a turn as well.
We brought it into the house and started to put the lights on it.
This past weekend we finished the lights and then put the ornaments on. Clara helps put a few on.
She was so proud of herself for hanging these ones! Of course we helped her spread them out a little. :-)
Brian helps Hailey hang some.
Adding the tinsel (or as Brian calls them, "icicles" ). Throwing the tinsel on in bunches was always a no-no in my house growing up. So, I had to re-do Hailey's "bunch" she put here.
All finished! Well, just ignore that the top one quarter of the tree has no ornaments on it. Besides not wanting to scale the ladder to put them on, we actually didn't have enough ornaments! Can't wait to wrap all the presents and put them under there now!
