Hailey's 5th Birthday Party

We celebrated Hailey's 5th birthday party this weekend, although her actual birthday isn't until Monday.  My side of the family and Brian's parents came over to help celebrate.  Hailey's theme request this year was Team Umizoomi...a cartoon on Nickelodeon that teaches numbers and math.  The main characters' names are Millie, Geo, and Bot.  So, I found a cake decorating idea online and tried to do my best.  As I've said in the past, if Hailey likes it, that's all that matters.  And she did!  After opening gifts and eating cake and ice cream, we spent a little time outside...the weather was gorgeous!  In the 80's and partly cloudy with a nice breeze.  After everyone left, Brian and his dad worked on leveling off the ground to make sure the swingset was sitting level and then the four of us (and his parents) headed over to Red Robin for dinner.  The waiters sang their birthday song and gave her a balloon and dessert.  She was most excited for the balloon! :-)

On Sunday, our friends, Dave and Erika came over to discuss plans for our upcoming trip to my parents' lake house.  We also did some clothes shopping in the morning (mainly for Clara) and then cleaned out our cars in the afternoon (another project to cross off the list!).  It was definitely a fun weekend!!

I've been using one of my Christmas gifts from Brian's parents to make Clara some baby food.

This is what I've done in the past couple weeks along with cantaloupe (not pictured).  So far, she's not a fan of the peas or sweet potatoes.

Meet Hailey's little sister, Rapunzel.  We were in Hailey's room sorting her clothes and Hailey decided Clara needed to try out her Rapunzel wig.  We were all laughing!!

Listening to everyone sing Happy Birthday and waiting to blow out her candles.
