DocBand Graduation!

Clara had her DocBand graduation appointment yesterday.  Only 6 weeks of total wear time!  They took the final pictures and gave us a certificate and her head mold as keepsakes.  I'm very glad to be done with the two hour drives on Friday's, but very happy with the results of the band!  I'd highly recommend it to anyone whose baby needs it!

The difference to look for in this picture is the width of her forehead.

In this one, you can see the back of her head has popped out more.

In this one, you'll notice how much longer the head is.

Many years from now, this will be fun to look at and remember how small her head once was!

  1. Wow Lindsey...that is really amazing. How did you even recognize that she needed it? The other amazing thing is HOW PERFECTLY matched the before and afters are!!

    Hugs your way!

  2. Hi Pam! We recognized it at 2 months, and then at her 4 month appointment, the pediatrician recommended we have a consultation with Cranial Technologies, because it hadn't improved. She was considered to have moderate plagiocephaly, but on the mild side of moderate. The insurance company wouldn't let us start treatment until 5 months...still not sure why, because she definitely could have used another week or so (there was one small area that her therapist would have liked to have seen pop out a little more). By the end of 6 weeks, she outgrew the band, though, but thankfully, she had significantly improved enough to not warrant another band. Yes, the before and afters are matched up really well! They have lots of experience there! :-)

    Hugs right back!

  3. This is amazing. So glad that it worked so well and in a period of time that didn't require a second band. She was and is an absolute beauty. Love to all of you!!
