Hailey decided she wanted to get her ears pierced. So we went on Saturday morning, the 23rd...the day their winter break started for school. She was so excited but even more nervous! She cried after they did the first one, but not because it hurt. She said it wasn't even that bad, but she was just releasing all the pent up anxiety and nervousness. She said she still felt nauseous afterwards, so we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond next door (she had them done at Claire's in the mall). We were about 50 feet from the bathroom and she couldn't hold it down anymore. Always an embarrassing moment. The store managers were so nice and got her a bottle of water. We apologized several times and made sure to buy something before we left! After that and a little rest at home, she was back to her normal self and very excited to have pierced ears!

Clara is still too young (in our opinion) to take on the responsibility for caring for pierced ears, but thankfully they also sell clip on earrings at Claire's! She got a couple of cute pairs to wear.
All better! She chose earrings with her birthstone.
