Hailey had a 4-H meeting today to make Sunshine Boxes for members of a church (where we hold our 4-H meetings) that are recovering from illness, such as cancer, or are grieving from a recent death of a friend or family member. This counts as a community service project towards 4-H group requirements. We had lots of fun putting the boxes together. There were different stations...making tissue paper flowers, making cards using stamps and markers, making bowls out of old records to hold some of the goodies in, etc. Each box contained the tissue paper flowers, card, bowl, bananas, oranges, and a plate full of cookies. After we finished assembling them, we got to personally deliver one of the boxes to a receiving church member. The lady we delivered to was so happy to receive the box and loved talking to Hailey and Laura!
