Several of my immediate and extended family (from my mom's side) gathered at my parents' house this weekend. We had been planning this get-together for several months and were so excited it was finally here! My aunt & uncle are visiting from Florida and my aunt, uncle, and cousin (along with her husband and two boys) came over from Michigan. We were planning to take a trip down to Chicago, but the rain and heat kept us away. So, we did some shopping at nearby outlet malls and catching up instead. No matter what we do, we always enjoy each others' company! I only took a few pictures the entire weekend...more socializing! :-)

The twins are going through a "stranger danger" phase, so they are only most comfortable with their parents in their own house. In this picture, they check out nearby "strangers". Emily on left, Natalie on right.

Just wanted to share this picture of the large bowl of beans we picked out of the garden on Friday. It filled an entire quart-sized freezer bag!
