Vacation & Projects

Brian and Hailey have been on vacation all week and I worked on Tuesday and Wednesday.  We've been working on odds and ends projects that we've had on our "to do" list.  On Friday morning, we had a new garage door installed.  This one is insulated, so we will be able to take advantage of the energy efficient tax credit.  Then on Saturday, we started taking down our Christmas decorations.  On Saturday afternoon, we went to see "Tangled" with my sister, brother-in-law, and niece.  We loved it!  I think it's one of the better Disney movies to come out in a while.  After the movie we headed over to my parents' house to celebrate my birthday (my birthday was actually on Tuesday, but we waited until everyone could get together).  My choice of cake is Angel Food Cake (confetti type if it's available)...served along with peppermint ice cream.  Yummy!  Today we finished putting Christmas decorations away and then cleaned.  The house always feels so bare when the decorations are put away!  Brian worked on finishing a new shoe shelf for our closet as well.  We all have tomorrow off before it's back to the normal routine.
