School Assembly

Hailey came home from school yesterday and was so excited to tell us that she got to sing in front of the whole school and tell them about the advent wreath!  The school was having an assembly to learn about what various cultures celebrate during the month of December.  They learned about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas.  One child was picked for each celebration to talk about what they knew about it.  Hailey said she was sitting quietly and raising her hand for the Christmas one and she got picked!  She said that the advent wreath is used to tell us about Jesus being born and that He is the son of God.  She said that the guy leading the assembly then sang a couple songs (We Three Kings and O Little Town of Bethlehem) and told her she could sing them with him.  And yes, using a microphone!  She was on cloud 9!  We're so proud of her!  Pictures below are courtesy of Hailey's school.
