Hailey chose to be Princess Jasmine and Clara was a clown this year! The outside temperature was in the 60's (we certainly got lucky there!) and it was raining off and on, but we used umbrellas and walked around to probably more houses than we have in the past. Clara loved it...she didn't complain at all about the walking (and wet shoes after she stepped in a big water puddle!). She did get scared of some of the homeowners dressed up in scary masks. There was even one where she put her hand behind her back (I've noticed she does this if we're chasing her and she doesn't want to be tickled, so it must be some sort of defense move for her) after realizing he looked scary. She would not take any candy from him and kept watching him as we walked away. She said very quietly (I had to lean down to hear her), "That's a boogie monster." Now to practice control over the candy eating temptation...

It's nice to have my sister, brother-in-law, and niece in our neighborhood now. We all trick-or-treated together!
Laura was the Rapunzel Bride this year.
